Bob Shea Golf Tournament to help Notre Dame

Notre Dame High School in Fairfield is sponsoring its annual Lancer Open In Memory of Bob Shea Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 22, at the Redding Country Club in Redding.
This is an annual fundraiser with proceeds to benefit the students of ND. Entry fee is $200 per player and $800 per foursome.
This includes 18 holes of golf (scramble format) with cart, on-course cold beverages, tournament gifts and raffle prizes, BBQ lunch, silent auction, two-hour open bar with hor d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and individual and team awards.

Shea was a member of the Fairfield Kiwanis Club and former Fire Commissioner for the Town of Fairfield.
He was also a former editor of the Fairfield Citizen in the 70s. Shea was an active fundraiser and loyal supporter for the Notre Dame community for more than 25 years.
Shea died on February 18, 2000. The following year, the Bob Shea Memorial golf tournament was established.  During the last 12 years the tournament has raised money for Notre Dame and the Bob Shea Scholarship, which is presented to a graduating Notre Dame senior every year.
