Sponsors, participants sought for Bowling Against Bullying

Bowling Against Bullying, to benefit The Center for Family Justice and raise awareness about bullying, will be held Friday, June 6, at Nutmeg Bowl, 802 Villa Avenue, Stratford.

The cost of the event is $40 per person, which includes two games, bowling shoe rental, pizza and soda. Check-in is 6 p.m.; bowling begins at 6:30 p.m.

Organizers are seeking lane sponsors, beginning at $150, and corporate sponsors, beginning at $250.

According to the center, this year 18 million children will be bullied. Through its education programs in the six towns it services — Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull — the center teaches children and teens ways to build healthy relationships and to stop bullying.
