Entertainers and more are coming to Fairfield

DJ Elliot Lipp performs — Named one of Vibe Magazines top 10 fastest rising DJs (summer 2013), and after more than eight years of global touring and seven solo albums, Eliot Lipp comes to Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne, Friday, May 23, at 7:45 p.m., doors open at 7, 70 Sanford Street.

Pianist Marcia Ball plays at FTC — Texas-born, Louisiana-raised pianist/vocalist/songwriter Marcia Ball performs at Fairfield Theatre Company’s StageOne Wednesday, June 4, 7:45 p.m., 70 Sanford Street. Ball’s latest release is her Grammy-nominated Alligator Records CD, Roadside Attractions.

Arts and craft vendors sought — The annual two-day Chamber Arts & Crafts Show will be combined with the town’s “Fairfield Family Fun Fest” day Saturday and Sunday, July 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Old Town Hall Green.

On Saturday there will be an arts & crafts show, live music, food trucks, a beer garden at the Historic Sun Tavern, children’s games, crafts, storytelling, face painting, mural painting and a revolutionary war encampment and re-enactments. On Sunday, the day features an arts and crafts show, hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, mural painting and face painting.

Artists sought for future shows — The Curatorial Committee of the Fairfield Public Library’s Kershner Gallery seeks artists for two- or three-person shows in 2015.
