Junior Babe Ruth week three results

Chris Nanai pitched struck out seven and allowed no earned runs in throwing a complete game for Tallman Builders in its 4-3 victory over Stratford Navy in Fairfield Junior Back Ruth League action. Ben Menkes had three of Tallman’s four RBIs.
Norwalk Laurel AC 6,
Bigelow Tea 5
Ryan Dean, Vincent Bartiromo and Jack McCarthy pitched well for Bigelow. Luke Finnegan had a stand-up triple, but exceptional defense by the Norwalk left fielder helped earned it the closely-fought game.
Bigelow Tea 11,
Schwartz Law 0
Luke Finnegan, Stuart Martin and Jack McCarthy had two hits apiece to pace the attack, as Bigelow Tea defeated Schwartz Law from Norwalk. Ryan Dean and Finnegan had doubles to help break the game open in the second and third inning. McCarthy struck out six batters in three innings pitched to lead the way.
McGoldrick Fuel 11,
Westport Wreckers 1
Dan Montanez gave up no hits over five innings in the win. Liam Holroyd, Connor Bennett and Blake Gottlieb had multiple hits for McGoldrick.
McGoldrick Fuel 10,
Stratford Navy 6
Zach McKay and Cole Maute pitched for McGoldrick, with Liam Holroyd closing the game. Holroyd had two hits, including a double, with Dan Montanez, Maute and Dan Fitzpatrick also having multiple hits in the game. Montanez threw three runners out attempting steals.
Bellows 8,
McGoldrick Fuel 2
Connor Bennett and Dan Fitzpatrick pitched well for McGoldrick. Bennett led the offense with two hits, including a double, with Cole Maute, Brian Duffy and Marc Ventura also contributing hits.
Bigelow Tea 8,
Vazzy’s 1
Vincent Bartiromo, Ryan Dean and Stuart Martin handled the pitching, combining for six strikeouts. Martin led the offense knocking in three runs on two base hits.  Luke Bennett had an RBI double. Jack McCarthy had two RBIs with a two-out single in the fourth inning.
Shuckies 12,
Dairy Queen 11
Will Henry and Devin Young led the Dairy Queen offense with three and two RBIs, respectively.
Tallman Builders 8,
Ray Flanagan 6
Ben Raggio and Ben Menkes handled the pitching for Tallman. Menkes stuck out three and gave up no earned runs in three innings. Menkes also made a terrific double play in the fourth, catching a hard line drive and then throwing out a runner at third.
Fairfield PAL 19,
Monroe 2
Quinn Barry and Landon Silbert and Devin Thomas combined to pitch an outstanding game for the PAL team. Leading the attack was Dan Westhoven with a triple, double and four RBIs. Ryan Donnelly had a single, double and two RBIs. Brendan Bow contributed a hit and scored two runs. Rob Imbrogno scored three runs with two RBIs. Daniel Wolfieler drove in two.
