Republicans to open headquarters Thursday

The Fairfield Republican Town Committee will open its campaign headquarters at 1863 Post Road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, Sept. 20, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The headquarters is across the street from Hemlock Hardware. Parking is available behind the building or along the Post Road.

Food and drinks will be served.

Republican candidates seeking election this year will cut the ribbon at 7:30 p.m. The candidates are state Sen. John McKinney (28th Senatorial District), state Rep. Brenda Kupchick (132nd District), state House of Representatives candidate Chris DeSanctis (133rd District) and State Rep. Tony Hwang (134th District.) U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon and Steve Obsitnik, candidate for the 4th Congressional District, are also expected to participate.

“We are very excited about our new headquarters and the momentum of our candidates’ campaigns,” said RTC Chairman James Millington. “We look forward to opening our doors to the community.”

The event is open to the public.
