Lax team looks to improve on 11-4 campaign

The Greens Farms Academy girls varsity lacrosse team is looking to capitalize on last year’s success.
The Dragons finished the year with a regular season record of 11-4. They returned back to the FAA tourney for the third time in four years
This year’s squad is looking to improve on that record entering the 2014 season. Led by experienced senior captain Kaitlin Ball (Darien) and junior captain Campbell Goldsmith (Darien), the Dragons look forward to building on their wins from last year.
Seniors Tia Carson (Fairifeld), Cole Vanacore (Darien), Charlotte Forfang (New Cannan) and senior Katherine Jack (Fairfield) will provide additional leadership.
Returning juniors Charlotte Kreitler (Fairfield), Nicole Litt (Darien) and Bella Pisano (Norwalk) will provide strength both offensively and defensively in the midfield.
Also returning on the sophomore front Ingrid Backe (Fairfield) will anchor the team’s defense and Lucy Webb (Stamford) will hold off competitors in the cage.
Ellie Wong (Darien), another returning sophomore, will have an impact on the attacking end of the field.
Unveiling a freshman unit which includes both youth and experienced players, featured players will include Kate Pallitta (Fairfield), Lily Goldsmith (Darien), Caroline Rintoul (Darien), Maggie Kelly (Easton) and Eva Scianna (Trumbull).
The Dragons start of their season against St. Luke’s on Tuesday, April 1.
