Multi-car crash involves gas station

Several people were taken to the hospital and Exit 24 off I-95 South was blocked after a vehicle hit a gas station, NBC Connecticut reported around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

A Cumberland Farms gas station is located at the bottom of the Exit 24 ramp. Traffic was also blocked on nearby Kings Highway, but it appeared to be moving again by 10 p.m.

Multiple cars are involved and several people have been taken to the hospital, NBC 30 reported.

A photo tweeted by NBC 30 shows extensive damage to a vehicle and blocks in front of the station, with pylons pulled out of the ground and pushed into windows.

Expect traffic delays in the area.

Details will be posted as they become available.
