Prep defeats Glastonbury, advances to semis

Fairfield Prep defeated Glastonbury, 4-3, in the Division I hockey quarterfinals in West Haven on Saturday.
Coach Matt Sather’s third-seeded Jesuits (14-4-3) will meet No. 2 Notre Dame-West Haven (15-5-1) in the semifinals Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Ingalls Rink in New Haven.
Matt McKinney, Matt Wikman, Dean Lockery and Mike Ventricelli scored goals in the win over sixth-seeded Glastonbury (16-6-1).
Prep led 1-0 after one period and 3-2 after two.
Lockery, Billy Overby, Brendan Killoy, Justin Blanchette, Tyler MacLean and Logan Underwood had assists.
Chris Gutierrez had 25 saves. Kyle Thibodeaux made 38 stops for Glastonbury. Notre Dame-Fairfield will meet Darien in the other semifinal.
