Fairfield skaters topped by Amity High, 4-3

The Fairfield Warde-Ludlowe coop boys hockey team lost to Amity of Woodbridge, 4-3, in the Division I first round of the state tournament on March. 11.
Fairfield finished at 7-15. Amity is 15-8.
Conor Scharlop, Trevor Demilt and Zach Weinstein scored goals for coach Mark Pettorini’s Mustangs, who led 2-1 after one period. Amity led 3-2 after two.
Jack O’Rourke had two assists and Scharlop, Austin Armas, Matt Stern and Jack McCormich one each.
Mike Grace had 34 saves. Amity’s Brian Mosher stopped 26 shots.
