Fairfield resident to teach at UConn law school

Michael Becker

Michael Becker of Fairfield has been named to the adjunct faculty at UConn School of Law in Hartford.

Becker, a divorce mediator with offices in Westport, will teach an upper-level course on negotiation skills and theory. The emphasis will be on helping lawyers-to-be how to resolve disputes to everyone’s satisfaction.

Becker is a founding director and past president of the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce. He has served as adjunct professor of law at UConn Law School and Quinnipiac University School of Law, and has taught master’s-level coursework at Fairfield University.

In addition to his law degree, Becker holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. He has also written numerous articles, and his practice has been featured in several publications.
