Luigi’s introduces new family-style menu

People will no longer have to travel to Arthur Avenue or Little Italy to experience classic Italian family style dining. Luigi’s Restaurant now offers authentic Italian dining right here in Fairfield with the addition of its new family-style menu.

This time-honored form of Italian dining brings people together, offering an opportunity to share a variety of dishes. The new menu consists of more than 20 options to choose from with appetizers, salads, vegetables, pasta dishes and meat entrees.

A Fairfield mainstay for more than 40 years, the restaurant’s reputation is founded on pizza and entrees made with the freshest ingredients.

Originally from Ripi, Italy, Giulio Cavalli has been the owner and chef of Luigi’s since 1976.

“My staff and customers are like family to me, offering a family style menu just makes sense.” Cavalli said. “I’m very traditional. Family-style dining brings people together. It’s authentic Italian dining.”

The menu includes customer favorites such as calamari golfo; fresh sautéed calamari in a light, spicy tomato sauce served over homemade linguini; pollo della casa; sautéed chicken breast with homemade sausage, roasted bell peppers, wild mushrooms and fine aromatic herbs, in a demi-glaze sauce; and pork loin pan sautéed with potatoes, carmelized onion, sweet vinegar peppers and rosemary.
