Fairfield Ludlowe went 5-0 to win the Legends Duals title on Feb. 1

Coach Nick Garoffolo’s Fairfield Ludlowe wrestling team won the Ludlowe Classic Duals to extend its record to 18-2 on Saturday.
Undefeated wrestlers for Ludlowe were George Wales, Ben Batulanon, Marcus Sherrod and Chase Lind. Bobby Clark went 4-1, as did Jacob Jessen and Nate Nelson.
Ludlowe won all five matches. Ludlowe and Conard from West Hartford won  its first four matches and met in the final match of the day, with Ludlowe taking a 42-24 victory.
The match started at 140 pounds and Conard jumped out to an early 24-6 lead picking up four pins to Ludlowe’s two decisions.
But that would be the last points Conard would score, as Ludlowe won the last seven bouts.
Nelson at 195 won a 8-5 decision and Jessen pinned at 220 with one second left on the clock to make the score 24-15.
Wales at 108 then pinned and Ludlowe got two forfeits at 113 and 120 to make the score Ludlowe 33 Conard 24.
Sherrod at 126 then won a 13-10 decision and Clark pinned at 132 to finish the match.
