The opposite cornerback Aidan Kudzy had a second-half interception.
With time winding down, the Wildcats muscled their way down field behind center Michael Risley and guards Brendan Casey and Owen Atkins.

6th Grade Wildcats
The Wildcats followed up last week’s 14-0 shutout of Norwalk with an exciting, hard-fought 8-6 victory over 2011 champions, Darien.

5th Grade Wildcats
Despite some flashes of excellence, the Wildcats 5th grade team dropped a 20-7 decision to Darien Blue Sunday at Warde High.
Outside linebackers Alex Farkas and Ryan Janz contained a very elusive Darien quarterback for most of the day, but a series of broken tackles let the visitors build a three-touchdown lead by the end of the third quarter.
By then the Wildcat offense was clicking on all cylinders, with wide scampers by Conner O’Neill and tough inside running by fullback Griffin Gallati, including his five-yard run through the line for the home team’s only score on the day.
The 5th graders return to action Sunday at Ludlowe High to take on Weston at 1.
