Fairfield native Alison Fischer and her boutique, The Plumed Serpent Bridal in Westport, will be featured on “I Found the Gown” on the national cable television channel TLC Friday, Sept. 14, at 10 p.m.

The show features two bridal outlet owners, Rick and Leslie DeAngelo, who travel the country to bridal salons, close-outs, back rooms, liquidations, factories and warehouses to find coveted gowns. Friday’s episode brings them to the Post Road in Connecticut.

“Fischer transformed a small prom dress shop into a couture bridal destination salon with a lot of drive, prior fashion experience working for the likes of Nicole Miller and Ralph Lauren, and with the ambition to keep her neighbors, friends and local family from rushing to Manhattan to find the perfect bridal gown,” according to a press release.

The store received a full makeover in 2007, expanding by nearly 1,800 square feet working to create an intimate and personalized experience for brides, their families and friends.

The Plumed Serpent Bridal today holds in-store events, trunk shows, seminars and carries bridesmaid and mother-of-the-occasion lines.

Fisher recaps the shoot on the store’s blog, http://plumedserpentbridal.blogspot.com/2012/09/reality-tv-alison-on-tlcs-i-found-gown.html.
