Prep's comeback win extends season

Nick Crowle scored three second-half touchdowns and the Fairfield Prep football team rallied to defeat West Haven, 29-20, at Alumni Field on Thanksgiving Day.
With the win, coach Tom Shea’s Jesuits earned the seventh seed in the Class LL playoffs.
Prep (9-2) will travel to play at No. 2 Glastonbury (10-1) in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night at 6:30.
West Haven (9-2), which is the No. 6 seed in Class LL, led 8-2 after one quarter and 20-2 in the second period, before Prep quarterback Colton Smith score on a 27-yard run and added a two-point conversion pass to Andrew Ostrosky to take the score to 20-10 at intermission.
Prep’s defense shut out the Westies over the final two quarters, and the Jesuits came all the way back.
William Lasher had the tackle for the two-point safety for Prep in the opening period, and Henry Healy had the conversion kick following the Jesuits’ last score.
