Fairfield Woods Branch Library re-opens

The Fairfield Woods Branch Library re-opened to the public Nov. 23, returning to normal business hours at that time.

The library was closed to the public from Nov. 18 through 22 due to mold remediation work, which was successfully performed in the basement area of the building.

Access to the basement area will remain limited until the construction work to replace the removed materials has been completed. New air sample results, which were collected in the first floor areas that are being reoccupied after the mold remediation work was completed, find that the air is at acceptable levels and indicate that these areas continue to remain in the “Clean Building” category.

“I am very pleased the latest air test came back within the ‘Clean Building’ range and we are able to have our library back in service,” First Selectman Michael Tetreau said.
