Matt White leads Falcons past Black Knights

The Fairfield Ludlowe football team rallied from behind to defeat visiting Stamford High, 42-40, on Friday night.
Quarterback Matt White led coach Vin Camera’s Falcons (6-4), with four scores,  236 yards rushing and 108 passing.
Patrick O’Leary (16 yards) and Jimmy Gasper (30 yards) caught touchdown passes from White, who ran 21 yards and 13 yards for scores.
Gasper (77 yards rushing) gave Ludlowe a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, with Charles Kottler kicking the first of his six PATS.
Stamford (2-8) put three scores on the board in the second period to take a 20-14 lead into the half. O’Leary’s touchdown reception gave Ludlowe its points in the canto.
White found Gasper for a score, but the Black Knights’ Jalen Brown scored his third touchdown of the game to give Stamford a 28-21 lead.
Ludlowe responded, as White scored on a pair of runs for a 35-28 lead.
Gasper’s third score, a three-yard run, boosted the advantage to 42-28.
