Selectmen on music students


The Board of Selectmen recently honored, from left, Connor Levinson, Liam Russell, Eliza Wiant, Joseph Sugrue, Zachary Roberge and Evelynne Fulda, during one of its meetings.

The Board of Selectmen honored six Fairfield high school students at its Nov. 6 meeting. The students were selected as members of the 2013 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All National Band and Mixed Choir.

They joined more than 670 of the most musically-talented and skilled high school students in the United States to perform at a gala concert in Nashville on Oct. 30.

The selectmen issued a certificate of congratulations to Eliza Wiant (choir-soprano) from Fairfield Ludlowe High School, and Zachary Roberge (bass-choir); Evelynne Fulda (alto-choir), Connor Levinson, (French horn-band), Liam Russell (trombone-band) and Joseph Sugrue (tenor sax-band), all from Fairfield Warde High School.
