Smith, Crowle lead Prep past Amity Spartans

Fairfield Prep defeated Amity High, 46-33, in an SCC football game at Alumni Field on Friday night.
Coach Tom Shea’s Jesuits are 6-2. Amity is 4-4.
Colton Smith scored on a 13-yard run and threw an 83-yard touchdown pass to Joe DelliSanti to give Prep a 12-6 lead after one period.
Nick Crowle took over in the second quarter, when the senior, who ran for 203 yards scored on runs of 11 and seven yards for a 26-6 halftime lead.
Smith, who ran for 222 yards and passed for 137, pushed the lead to 34-6 with a 59-yard run and a two-point conversion.
Amity scored the next three touchdowns to get within 34-26 on a pair of Dave Ryan touchdown passes in the final period.
Smith ran one in from 56 yards out and Crowle scored on a four-yard run, before Amity tallied the final points on Ryan’s third scoring pass.
