Election Day is Tuesday

League of Women Voters profiles candidates in Voters Guide

LWV-LogoFairfield voters will choose members of the Representative Town Meeting and major boards and commissions on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Candidates are profiled in the Voters Guide prepared by the League of Women Voters, downloadable here.

The Voters Guide contains profiles of candidates for Board of Finance, Board of Education, Board of Assessment Appeals, Town Plan and Zoning Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals. Two profiles inadvertently omitted from the print edition are in the online version.

Candidates for RTM and constable are listed.

The list of RTM candidates also lists polling places.

Nov. 5 will be the first time Connecticut will offer Election Day voter registration. Those who wish to register on Election Day must go to the polls themselves with proof of identity and residence, such as a valid Connecticut driver’s license. Registration ends at 8 p.m.

Questions about voting may be directed to the registrars of voters office, 203-256-3115.
