Locals look to bounce back

The Fairfield Ludlowe football team lost a 10-9 FCIAC decision at Westhill High in Stamford on Oct. 25.
Jack White scored on a one-yard run to get coach Vin Camera’s Falcons within 10-9 in the final period, but the Vikings’ Brendan Ronan blocked the conversion kick.
Charles Kottler’s 25-yard field goal in the second quarter tied the game at 3 at the half.
Westhill (3-4) took a 10-3 lead in the third quarter on a 50-yard pass from Ryan Coppola to Dante Fargnoli and a Sherlson Peiphat PAT.
Ludlowe (4-3) will host Brien McMahon (7-0) Friday at 7.
Fairfield Warde
Coach Duncan DellaVolpe’s Mustangs lost to Greenwich High, 42-7, on Oct. 25.
T.J. Gallager gave Warde the lead with a 15-yard run and Brian Russell added the PAT in the first quarter.
Greenwich (4-3) answered that touchdown before the break and had four touchdowns in the second period to take a 35-7 lead into the half.
Warde (2-5) will host Sheehan of Wallingford (3-4) on Friday at 7.
Notre Dame
Coach Ted Boynton’s Lancers lost to New Fairfield, 42-0, on Oct. 25. The Rebels improved to 5-2 with the victory. Notre Dame (0-7) will host New Milford (2-5) at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
