Morgan V. Frawley, 25, of Fairfield, has been charged with risk of injury to a minor after New Canaan Police alleged she had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

A Fairfield woman was arrested Friday after New Canaan Police alleged that she engaged in “an inappropriate sexual relationship” with a 15-year-old boy.

Morgan V. Frawley, 25, of 272 Soundview Ave., Fairfield, was charged with risk of injury to a minor. She surrendered after being informed there was a warrant for her arrest, according to New Canaan Police.

The Department of Children and Families contacted New Canaan Police April 23 after reports that Frawley, who was leader of a church group at the Congregational Church of New Canaan, was involved in the relationship.

Frawley was also a long-term substitute teacher for Fairfield schools, according to New Canaan Police.

New Canaan Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Carol Ogrinc could not confirm that the two met through the church group.

“They have a lot of different teams,” Sgt. Orgrinc said. “I can’t say for sure how they met.”

Investigation into the allegation determined Frawley and the youth were in fact involved in a sexual relationship, according to New Canaan Police.

Bond was $5,000 for court Nov. 5.
