St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation has appointed four new members to its board of directors. “These new appointees will help us tremendously with our efforts to expand our resources to better serve the community,” said Dianne J. Auger, the foundation president and CEP. “Each of these individuals brings a unique set of skills to the table, and I have no doubt they will be an asset to the Foundation and St. Vincent’s.”

Thomas Castelot

Thomas J. Castelot is the president and co-founder of Sound View Community Media, Inc., in Bridgeport. He has served on the board of directors regionally for the United Way and the American Red Cross.

A resident of Stratford, Castelot has also served on the boards of a number of organizations including the Discovery Museum, the Burroughs Community Center, the Black Rock Community Council, the City of Bridgeport’s Citizens’ Union and the Olin Corporation Charitable Trust in Stamford.

Bradford Orben

Bradford R. Orben currently serves as executive director of Finance and Family Office for Building and Land Technology (BLT), a real estate development company based in Connecticut. Prior to that Orben was senior vice president of Bank of New York Mellon’s Private Client Investment Services division.

A graduate of Dickinson College with a bachelor’s degree in economics, Orben serves on the Investment Committee for St. Vincent’s Medical Center, and on the board for the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club Southport unit. He lives in Fairfield with his wife and four children.

Sr. Margaret Tuley, DC, currently the administrator at the Daughters of Charity Mother House in Albany, N.Y., most recently served as the board chair at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital & Health Center and Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home and Child Care Center, in Lewiston, N.Y.

Sr. Margaret earned her bachelor’s degree at St. Joseph’s College in Maryland and went on to earn two master’s degrees, one from Boston University and one from St. Louis University.

A Boston native, Sr. Margaret has served as Vice President of Mission Services at St. Vincent’s and on the board of directors for numerous local organizations as well, including the Hall-Brooke Foundation in Westport and St. Vincent’s Special needs in Trumbull.

Kathy Young

Kathy Young is a senior account executive with Cablevision Media Sales. She has been involved with the St. Vincent’s Foundation SWIM Across the Sound since 1995. In 2002 Young established the Sunset Sail which benefits breast cancer programs, raising more than $30,000 annually.

Young was named SWIM Volunteer of the Year in 2005 and she currently serves on the board of St. Vincent’s Special Needs. She lives in Fairfield with her husband and two children.

St. Vincent’s Foundation also elected officers: Chairperson James Stapleton of Trumbull, Vice Chairperson Lawrence Foley of Fairfield, President/CEO Dianne Auger of Stratford, Secretary Patricia Willett of Fairfield, and Treasurer Bradford R. Orben of Fairfield.
