Tallman Brothers wins big in Fall League action

Paul Jeon went 3 for 4 and scored 4 runs to lead the offense when Tallman Brothers blanked Trumbull2M, 18-0, in Fairfield Junior Babe Ruth Fall League play.
Tristan Pavarini, Tom Scheller, and Ben Menkes also had good days at the plate, reaching base every at bat and scoring 3 runs each.
Matt Michalski and Dom Conte both pitched a great game, keeping Trumbull scoreless. Michalski struck out 5 batters in his 3-inning appearance.

Tyler Henchcliffe, Zach Day and Blake Gottlieb held Trumbull to four hits.
Bridgeport Caribe 10,

The Plumbers had the early lead after a two-out, two-run double by Tyler Henchcliffe. They could not hold the lead in the fourth, after walking two and giving up two huge hits.
McGoldrick Fuel 7,
Stamford Royal 4
McGoldrick rallied for 5 runs in the last 2 innings for the win. Noah Kane and Ryan Dean pitched a scoreless 6th and 7th inning, respectively.
Three hits apiece by Spencer Jones, Vince Bartiromo and Kane led the offense. Triples by both Jones and Bartiromo were the big hits.
Stratford Black 6,
Fairfield PAL 5
Great pitching performances by Jackson Holroyd and Tommy Taylor limited Stratford to two hits.
Brett Williams drove in two runs, as well as making several great plays in the field.
Fairfield PAL 4,
Trumbull3M 0
The PAL pitching staff held Trumbull to just 2 hits.
Jack Wrigley made a great running catch in the outfield, Dan Fitzpatrick made an unassisted double play, catcher Brian Schiller picked a runner off first bas, and second baseman Tom Taylor ended a Trumbull rally by catching a shallow pop-up in right field.
RBI’s by Sam Stern and Mike Toth led the offense.

Dom Conte had a single and a double and Quin Koether knocked in 2 runs with a base hit in the 4th inning.
With the score tied at 6 in the bottom of the 7th,  Tristan Pavarini hit a deep line drive over the left fielder’s head to drive in the winning run. He went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and scored a run.
Tallman Builders 11,
Stratford Red 0
Tim Longueira went 3 for 3, had 4 stolen bases, and scored 2 of Tallman’s 11 runs.
Dom Conte hit a double in the 3rd with the bases loaded bringing in two runs.
Brian Damp had 2 hits and scored two runs.
Roger Johns pitched all 5 innings for Tallman, striking out 11 batters and giving up only two hits.

Westport Wreckers 3
Roger Johns pitched a complete game no-hitter. He struck out 16 batters in 7 innings. Johns was also 2 for 3 (single and a double) at the plate with a walk.
