Fairfield welcomes 2 new police officers

Officers Kate Costabile and Anthony Renaldi and take the oath of officer for the Fairfield Police Department during the third annual Fairfield Public Safety Awards Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Roger Ludlowe Middle School.

Officers Anthony Renaldi and Kate Costabile were sworn in as the Fairfield Police Department’s newest officers during the third annual Fairfield Public Safety Awards Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Roger Ludlowe Middle School.

Renaldi comes to Fairfield as a certified police officer, having previously served in both Seymour and Southbury. He has been a recipient of the Connecticut SWAT Challenge Top Cop Award and Tactical Athlete Award. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Marist College.

Costabile comes to Fairfield after serving as an EMT-B for the Danbury Ambulance Service and working for a property management company.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Connecticut State University. She is undergoing training at the Connecticut Police Academy and will begin a field training program upon graduating the academy.
