Fairfield Police have released a surveillance photo of a woman wanted for an incident at the downtown Fairfield University Book Store.

Fairfield Police have released a surveillance photo of a woman wanted for an incident at the downtown Fairfield University Book Store.

Police are asking the public’s help in identifying and locating a woman suspected in an incident at the Fairfield University Book Store, 1499 Post Road, last month.

Police said a white female in a surveillance photo, 55 to 60 years old with reddish-brown hair, entered the store around 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1. She carried several books into the store and went directly to the cashier’s desk. There was then a “breach of peace incident,” police said.

Anyone with information about the woman is asked to call the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at 203-254-4800 or use the anonymous “Text-a-Tip” line; information can be located at fairfieldpdct.com, by using the icon on the main page.
