Jack Zierolf top Bentley golfer

Sophomore Jack Zierolf out of Fairfield Warde, was the number one golfer for the Bentley University golf team during the season-opening Central Connecticut State University Blue Devil Invitational, which concluded Sept. 9 at the Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.
Zieroff posted his second straight 75 Monday to tie for 22nd with a 36-hole score of 150, in the predominantly Division I tournament.
His performance both days was a personal collegiate best.
As a team, Bentley finished 10th overall among the 12 participating teams with a two-day score of 608. The Falcons improved on Sunday’s score by four strokes, but slipped two positions in the overall standings.
