Speedy Dragons seeking strong season

With many returning players, the Greens Farms Academy field hockey team looks forward to a strong season.
The team will be led by senior co-captains Maggie Sherin (Weston) and Hayley Holzinger (Norwalk) who, with the help of classmate JJ Rattray (Greenwich), will achor the team at midfield.
The forward line will be led by seniors Olivia Taylor (Fairfield) and Chloe Perlen (Westport).
The offense will be boosted by the speed and stickwork of returning players Nicole Litt (Darien) and Tatiana Crawford (Greens Farms) and freshmen Maggie Kelly (Easton) and Kate Paliotta (Westport).
Sophomore Olivia Reynolds (Rowayton) and juniors Juliet Fontana (Southport) and Lily McGonagle (Southport) will control the defense, with fellow junior Jenny Ross (Darien) in goal for her third varsity season.
The team will be supported by additional young players who have brought great talent and enthusiasm throughout the preseason.
he Dragons will open their regular season at home on Tuesday, Sept. 10, against St. Luke’s at 4:15 p.m.
