Police seek robbery suspect

Fairfield police are searching for an individual who robbed the Mobil station on the corner of Fairfield Woods and Stratfield roads on Tuesday, Aug. 27, around 10:19 p.m.

The suspect, described as a white male with red facial hair, wearing a gray hoodie and shorts, entered the convenient store of the gas station demanding all the money in the register. The man threatened that he had a gun, but did not display one.

After taking the money, the robber fled on foot northbound on Stratfield Road.

Additional officers were called to the scene to search the area with assistance from Bridgeport police K-9 unit. Police have developed a suspect, but were unable to locate him during the night.

The case remained under investigation by the Detectives Unit.
