Fairfield American Little League makes changes for fall

Starting with this fall season, Fairfield American Little League (FALL) has expanded its age eligibility to include 13 year olds for its Intermediate (50/70) Division.
For the 2013-2014 Little League calendar year, that means any child born between May 1, 2000 and April 30, 2001 and who lives in the Dwight, Mill Hill, Osborn Hill, Riverfield and Sherman public school districts, will be able to continue playing with FALL.
Starting in September 2013, for the first time, a 50/70 fall season division will be offered.
Eligibility for the 50/70 fall season is open to 13 year olds only.
FALL anticipates that there will only be a handful of teams that will play head-to-head.
There may also be the possibility of some games against other towns and programs.
Season will start after Labor Day holiday and end before Halloween.
Registration is now open and can be accessed through the following link: fairfieldamericanlittleleague.pointstreaksites.com/view/fairfieldamericanlittleleague/2013-fall-registration-1.
In the spring, 12 year olds will be able to play 50/70 as well as an add-on to regular Little League. They will join registered 13 year olds, who are only eligible to play 50/70.
In the summer, FALL will once again field a District 50/70 team. There is also the possibility that a Tournament 50/70 team will be selected, but that depends upon participation and volunteer levels.
