Fairfield Theatre Company hosts Grammy Award winner Paula Cole

Fairfield-ENT-Paula_ColeFairfield Theatre Company welcomes Grammy Award winner Paula Cole Friday, July 12, at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 7, at StageOne, 70 Sanford Street.

From a small town in Massachusetts, Cole was raised in a musical family with whom she and her daughter remain close. Cole, who was a scholarship alumna from Berklee College of Music with a background in jazz, received her first record deal with a jazz label (which she declined), and then later collaborated with many jazz artists. Paula who now teaches and gives clinics in the spirit of giving back to the music community, has a loving allegiance to her fans.

Fairfield Theatre Company is proud to have the first woman in history to solely produce and receive the best Producer Grammy nomination for her work, “This Fire,” in which Cole broke boundaries. From her top ten hits of the 1990s including “I Don’t Want to Wait” and “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone” to her more recent critically acclaimed albums, Paula Cole continues to write, produce, record and perform heartfelt, meaningful, lasting music that defies categorization. See for yourself why Rolling Stone magazine calls Cole “An extraordinary songwriter with a gorgeous voice.”
