Teen hit by car, issued warning

A 15-year-old Fairfield boy was struck by a vehicle as he got out of a car on Stillson Road July 7 at 1:38 p.m.

A driver pulled to the side to let the boy out, and told police she told him to look both ways.

Police said the boy ran around the front of the car and into the path of a Honda Civic, which struck him, throwing the boy onto the roof

The driver of the Civic told police he could not stop in time and was not charged.

The boy told officers he was fine, but complained of pain to his left arm, back and head, so he was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

He was also issued a verbal warning for reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian.
