Dealership expands with grand opening of new pre-owned center

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield has added a new pre-owned center across the street from its sales showroom on Commerce Drive.

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield has expanded with the addition of a new pre-owned center across the street from its sales showroom located on Commerce Drive. The Penske-owned dealership will hold official grand opening festivities, including a red ribbon-cutting ceremony and Mercedes-Benz Club car rally, on Saturday, July 13.

The expansion began with the acquisition of an additional acre located next door to the dealership in November 2012, according to Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield General Manager Joe Czarnecki.

Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield paved the contiguous lot, providing for more customer parking and available inventory. In addition, the former smart car building at 80 Commerce Drive was transformed into the new pre-owned center, with a facelift that included a façade and millwork consistent with the Mercedes-Benz Autohaus design of the dealership. The smart car brand, now distributed by Mercedes-Benz, was moved inside the new car showroom.

“The new pre-owned center represents the final expansion phase of Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield,” Czarnecki said. “We now have one of the largest new and pre-owned car facilities in Fairfield County, spanning more than three acres with 200 parking spaces and the opportunity to display over 200 vehicles. The new center is designed to provide customers with the best car shopping experience, with convenient parking and amenities.”

In conjunction with the grand opening, Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield will be providing tours of its new center from 9 a.m. to  5 p.m., and refreshments will also be provided. For more information, call 203-368-6725 or visit
