GCA athletes team up at Regionals

Gymnastics and Cheerleading Academy of CTGCA’s two year old Trampoline and Tumbling Team completed their second season in May at Regional Championships in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
All seven athletes: Tia Stapleton, Tess Stapleton, Lily Rodier, Cece Marino, Luke Roehm, Christopher Polley and Michelle Monte took home medals in all of their levels in all three events: Traditional Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline and Tumbling.
They earned an overall third place in Tumbling levels 1-4, second place in Double Mini levels 1-6, and first in tumbling levels 5-6 and trampoline levels 1-7.
Under the direction of coaches Chris Moise and Dan Benitez GCA T&T began its season in early December and completed in seven USAG sanctioned competitions.
In April, GCA hosted its first Trampoline and Tumbling competition followed by hosting the New England States Championship.
At Regional Championships GCA T&T’s competed against a total of 525 athletes from seven states in a two day meet in West Virginia.
GCA placed in at least one of their three events bringing home a total of 11 first, second, or third place medals.
