Knitting project

Knitting Club members, from left, Perry Bowers of Guilford, Caroline Kohnert of Fairfield, Madeline Ross of Shelton and Lennix Cuffy of New Haven show off their knit chemo caps made in honor of a member of the senior class who was diagnosed with cancer last July. The club has been in existence for about 10 years. Its intent is to teach new knitters how to knit and pearl and teach students who already knit how to improve their skills. The club always have a service project as the main focus, which in past years, have included baby hats, booties and quilts that were donated to the Pro Life Club’s baby shower.
