Amity knocks off Ludlowe in states

Fairfield Ludlowe lost a 10-1 decision to Amity of Woodbridge in a Class LL second round game on May 30.
The 11th-seeded Falcons finished with a 15-9 record, while the sixth-seeded Spartans (18-4) advanced to play third-seeded Greenwich High (19-3) in today’s quarterfinals.
Andrew Salveson knocked home Mike Kochiss with a first-inning single.
Amity scored multiple runs in the first four innings.
Tommy Howell and Connor Quinn had the only other Ludlowe hits.
