Ludlowe captures first FCIAC championship

The Fairfield Ludlowe girls tennis team defeated Greenwich High, 4-3, to win the program’s first FCIAC title in a match held at Wilton High on Wednesday.

Lindsey Evan won a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles, and Daria Efimov battled through three sets before earning a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 decision at No. 2 singles.

Cami Adajian won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Fourth-seeded Greenwich won at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-2, and No. 2 doubles, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Second-seeded Ludlowe pulled out the win, as the No. 3 doubles team of Sarah Jennings and Chelsea Keane won 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
