A piece of history

Fairfield-landmarksign

Members of the Historic District Commission and town officials joined the Old Post Road Area Association (OPRAA) on May 17 to officially unveil a new landmark sign on Beach Road, parallel to First Church Congregational. It is one of three signs installed to improve public awareness about the neighborhood located in the heart of Fairfield’s historic town center. Shown, from left, are OPRAA President Peter Petron, OPRAA Vice President Don Miller, First Selectman Michael Tetreau and Fairfield Museum and History Center Director of External Affairs Meri Erickson.
