No service, train or bus, from Southport Monday

There will be no trains or buses to or from the Southport train station Monday, May 20, First Selectman Michael Tetreau tweeted Sunday afternoon.

“Southport commuters need to find an alternate way to work,” Tetreau added.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation and Metro-North announced plans Sunday for Monday’s commute on the New Haven Line while the railroad works to rebuild after Friday night’s derailment and collision along Fairfield Avenue and Commerce Street.
