Firefighters respond to serious motorcycle accident

The Fairfield Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a motorcycle accident on I-95 southbound between Exits 25 and 24 on May 10, at 10:16 p.m.

Fairfield Fire Department Engine 2, Ladders 2 and Car 3 responded and arrived on scene at approximately 10:22 to report a very serious motor cycle accident. All southbound lanes of the highway were closed to traffic. Fire personnel immediately began treating the patient who appeared to have life threatening injuries.

American Medical Response arrived shortly after the fire department with two ambulances. The patient was transported by AMR. The fire department remained on scene until about 11:38.
