Fund-raising report focuses on grateful patients and families

“Making Connections” is the theme of the new Bridgeport Hospital Foundation annual fund-raising report, which features four vignettes about grateful patients or families and the hospital staff members they chose to recognize through the foundation’s Honor Your Caregiver program.

These individuals include Fairfield residents Jeanne Marie Booth, who honored oncology nurse Fae Willet for supporting her through her treatment for breast cancer; and George and Katie Coleman, who honored cardiologist Dr. Edward Pinto for his patience, compassion and constant efforts to keep them informed while under his care.

important than ever before. Thanks to our donors, we have been able to sustain and even expand badly needed healthcare services for our patients and community.

Jennings and Jakab said that one of the new drivers of philanthropic support for the hospital is the Honor Your Caregiver program. Through this program, former patients and their families express their gratitude by making donations to honor a hospital caregiver who touched their lives in a special way.
