Obituary: Donald R. Barbin, 80, of Monroe

Donald R. Barbin, 80, of Monroe, husband of Rose (Jennings) Barbin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2013 with his family by his side.

He was born in Berlin, N.H. to the late Joseph and Helen (Johnson) Barbin.

Don was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a commercial artist at Swan Engraving in Bridgeport.

In his spare time, he enjoyed painting.

In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his loving daughters, Colette Barbin-Daniels and her husband, Kevin of Milford, Celeste Hasenjaeger and her husband, John of Charlotte, NC and Jennifer Barbin of Monroe.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield Center.
