Owner of salon charged with promoting prostitution

The owner of a spa closed amid allegations of prostitution surrendered to Fairfield police on March 14.

Sun Cha Johnson, 66, of Clearwater, Fla.,  is one of two co-owners of Deidra’s Health Spa on the Post Road, police said.

The spa was recently raided by Fairfield police following a lengthy investigation into allegations of prostitution. Three employees have also been arrested on prostituion charges.

Johnson was charged March 14 with promoting prostitution in the second degree.

Five arrests total were sought for employees and owners of the spa. The other owner is currently in Florida but is expected to surrender in the coming weeks, police said.

Johnson is believed to have also owned two other locations shut down in prostitution investigations: Tokyo Spa in Bridgeport and Paradise Spa in Fairfield.
