Stratfield students recognied for artistic efforts

Students from Stratfield Elementary School won first-place awards at the school level in this year’s National PTA Reflections program, themed “The Magic of a Moment.”

Local-level winners at Stratfield Elementary School include:

• Intermediate level age group: Isabella Jalet, film; Alana Goldman, visual arts; and Anna Patterson, literature.

• Primary level age group: Hamilton McGrath, photography; Jonah Rosenbaum, film; and Ruby Smith, visual arts.

Their artwork was sent to the state level for consideration. Winners at the state level go on to the national level. National winners will be announced in May.

Reflections is a nationwide program that provides students with an opportunity for creative expression and positive recognition of their artistic efforts in six categories — dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
