Explorers recognized for service


Explorers Andrew Tisdale and Patrick Reis accept a contribution from Lions Club officer Ray Rasmussen for their help during Storm Sandy.

The Fairfield Police Explorers were honored by the Fairfield Lions Club on March 11, for their assistance during Storm Sandy. The explorers offered their services at Roger Ludlowe High School emergency shelter during the storm.

The shelter housed nearly 200 residents who were displaced by the storm for a week following Sandy’s rampage through the region.

Lions Club officer Ray Rasmussen presented a contribution from the Lions Club to the Fairfield Police Explorers, recognizing their commitment to service in the community.
