The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Special Weather Statement at 9:45 p.m. on Monday to warn of “multiple bands of heavy snow” heading toward Fairfield and New Haven counties.
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news briefing to provide updates on the state’s response to the severe winter weather currently impacting the state.
The latest blizzard warning from the National Weather Service is still calling for 20-30 inches of snow for region.
Fairfield opened an emergency shelter at 6 p.m. today, at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. The shelter will remain open for the duration of this event.
