Matt Wikman’s third-period goal gave Fairfield Prep a 2-0 lead and the state’s top-ranked team defeated Notre Dame of Fairfield, 2-1, at the Wonderland of Ice on Monday.
Kevin Brown scored for the Jesuits (17-0) in the first period and Notre Dame’s Greg Ferris completed the scoring with a goal in the third.
Connor Henry, Sean Henry, David White and Kenny Kochiss had assists for Prep.
Christian LaCroix had an assist for the Lancers (9-7).
Chris Gutierrez stopped 19 shots for Prep, while Notre Dame’s Stone Denbok made 32 saves.
