Warrant arrest

Arlene Gasper, 32, of Barnum Avenue, Bridgeport, was arrested by Fairfield police on a warrant for conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree on Jan. 17. She was previously arrested for stealing her mother’s diamond ring and other items while under house arrest in August 2012.

Gasper is also believed to have been a conspirator in the theft and sale of a 1966 Mickey Mantle baseball card. Items she is accused of helping steal have been recovered from area pawn shops.

Gasper was given a $1,000 bond and a Jan. 17 court date.

 

Home burglary

The back door of a home on Henry Street was kicked in by thieves sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 17, according to Fairfield police.

The culprit or culprits used the door as the primary point of entry and exit for the home. Taken were a laptop, camera and iPod, valued at a combined $850. Damage to the door is estimated at $500.

Evidence was left at the scene and police are investigating.

 

Missing cable box

It took awhile for the owner of a Hull’s Farm Road home burglarized back in July to realized his cable box is also missing. The piece of home entertainment electronics was reported missing on Jan. 17.

The owner reported to police that he believes it was taken at the time of the burglary.

 

Stolen iPod

An iPod Touch, valued at $200, was taken from a gym locker at Fairfield Ludlowe High School. The theft occurred sometime between 2:30 and 4 p.m. on Jan. 17.
