Food Truck Festival to benefit Fairfield Library

The Friends of Fairfield Public Library will hold the Fairfield Food Truck Festival Sunday, Oct. 1, from noon-7 p.m., at Jennings Beach in Fairfield.

All proceeds will benefit the Fairfield Public Library’s initiatives and programs.

Admission is $5, children under 12 are free. There is free parking for the event at the beach. The food trucks will charge their usual rates.

“This is an affordable, family-friendly event and a great way to cap off a wonderful summer,” said Friends of Fairfield Public Library President Margo Kaminsky. “The proceeds will help the Fairfield Public Library continue to serve people of all ages in Fairfield and beyond.”

The Fairfield Food Truck Festival is the only one of its kind in coastal Fairfield County. Attendees can expect to sample the wares of many of the most popular and unique food trucks from throughout the area.

“I am thrilled to be part of a food truck festival right in my backyard. Come down and bring your appetite, because there will be a lot to choose from,” said Gary Zemola, owner of Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield.

Star 99.9 radio station personalities will on site with giveaways and entertainment. Expect other special guests. Visit the Festival’s Facebook page for updates on announcements.
