The Notre Dame of Fairfield football team defeated Immaculate High, 26-22, on Thanksgiving Eve at Western Connecticut State University.
Marcus Fulton returned a kickoff for a 75-yard touchdown and William Kelly had a five-yard return of a blocked punt, as special team’s play led coach Dawon Dicks’ Lancers to victory.
Hakim Fleming had a one-yard touchdown run and Matt Moffat threw 10-yard scoring pass to Jelani Roman for Notre Dame (1-9).
Immaculate (0-1) trailed 26-14 after three periods, but closed within a score of taking the lead in the fourth quarter.
Jordan Pettway had a two-point conversion run for Notre Dame.
